Charmain Jones

Charmain Jones is Women's Spaces Co-ordinator (Rural), a role funded through the Department of Foreign Affairs as part of a three-year programme supporting women across Northern Ireland.

With over 25 years of experience in Good Relations, Peacebuilding, Community Development and Youth Development, Charmain has worked extensively at grassroots level and represented rural communities locally, regionally and internationally. She is widely respected within the sector for her commitment and impact.

As part of her Social Change Initiative fellowship, she conducted research on gender equality in Iceland and published research on the future of gender equality in Northern Ireland. Charmain is also a fellow of the Centre for Democracy and Peacebuilding and co-created the first digital toolkit for Northern Ireland on Women, Peace and Security.

She is currently completing a Masters Degree in Trauma Studies through Wave Trauma and University College Cork.
