Lauri is responsible for building the first county-wide community foundation in Ireland, Lauri has lead the development of the Fermanagh Trust into a successful, sustainable community-focused organisation. This has included the setting up and administration of 13 charitable named funds and the development of its £2 million community hub/local social enterprise facility. Lauri has a local economic development and planning background and a keen focus on community development and relations work. He has an effective knowledge base and experience on a range of themes including local philanthropy, fundraising, social enterprise and organisational change. Since 2008, Lauri has played a key role in developing and implementing a major NI Shared Education initiative supporting leadership in 56 schools and advocating for the implementation of the Shared Education Act (NI) 2016 legislation. Lauri is a director of a number of national and regional organisations including Co3, DTNI and ACF and is committed to making his contribution to the growth and development of these organizations. He played a lead role in the development of the NI Xchange and chaired the initiative, which lead to a £500k investment in social change in NI. Lauri is actively involved in volunteering in his own local community.
