Mapping Responses to the COVID-19 Pandemic

Article

As we all adapt to the strange new environment that COVID-19 has presented, how can we continue to bring about progressive social change while quarantine is in effect?

Now more than ever, the COVID-19 virus has highlighted the importance of community and solidarity. Over the past number of weeks, the team at SCI have been working to identify actions that we can take to support our community, raise awareness of the challenges that the pandemic presents to our work, while looking to the future and the opportunities to rewrite a fairer, more inclusive society for all.

One of the ways in which we intend to support our community is through sharing your COVID-19 ‘reaction stories’, with the hope that we can learn from one another. SCI has been capturing the perspectives of activists from across our network, to learn what the pandemic means for the issues you are normally active on and discover the how our colleagues are responding to the pandemic.

In this first edition of the report, Lisa Quinn, Director and Co-founder of the International Centre for Policy Advocacy (ICPA), discusses the challenges that COVID-19 has presented to their work and how they are adapting with the environment.
