Soeurette Rigodon
Soeurette Rigodon has a background in psychology and over a decade of experience in human rights advocacy, children's education, and the empowerment of girls and young women in rural communities. She began her career working with children living on the streets, providing education and mentorship.
Rigodon studied psychology at the State University of Haiti, where she developed a strong foundation for her later work in creating educational and artistic content aimed at empowering women and girls. In 2014, she joined LIDE, building extensive experience addressing the challenges faced by underserved communities and strengthening program implementation, and is now Country Director.
The fellowship will support the development of Soeurette’s professional capacity as a peacebuilding practitioner. By testing and documenting a community-based model for engaging fathers as peacebuilders and allies in preventing violence and promoting human rights among boys, the aim is to reduce hate, intolerance, and violence among young men in Haiti.
